Who: Krav Maga Program students
When: as of May 26th, 2008
Where: All Krav Maga locations
What: The big announcement.......
Krav Maga classes are going back to our roots, hard core, no nonsense, street application self-defense training. The program will continue to focus on realistic, results oriented training and easy to retain practical street self-defense.
We will continue with the same rotating block teaching system, and the Level One curriculum will remain the same. The changes will affect Level Two and Three students. Curriculum will eliminate Live Fighting drills and replace with Knife, Gun & Stick training.
We have decided to eliminate the contact drills/sparring from the Krav Maga program because not everyone wants to be a Cage fighter. We feel the risk of injury with Live Fighting Drills is too high of a risk for most Krav Maga students. We also hate to see students quit the training they love because of this risk.
We are talking about Risk not Fear, some students because of their profession do not want to risk injury, we totally agree with these students. Free sparring and live ground fighting are high risk training methods that are not mandatory to learn Street self-defense. Our goal is to provide the most realistic, practical and safest system for everyone.
Hold on!!! Before you students that like getting hit and hitting someone get all bent out of shape, we have not ignored your needs......You Krav Maga students............
At No extra cost.....MMA training is here! Every Monday & Thursday night 8:15-9:30pm, and Saturday 9:30-11:00am, at the Central School. You can train any or all these classes. You don’t have to be a Fighter to look like a Fighter! Proper fighting gear is required.
